WHAT'S NEW (since the last version or two)
DF.EXE
Version 1.8: Housecleaner option. (DOS 5.0 or higher)
New files for the day capability! Have you ever
wished for a means to list out ALL the files you
changed on a specific day? Imagine how being able
to do this can help you keep your housecleaning
up to date by eliminating files you meant to delete,
various unwanted debris, files that you didn't know
application programs created, etc. Just use this
option toward the end of your computer session for
an up-to-date report on what's been changed. We
think this capability alone is worth the registration.
See Section L;a in DF.DOC.
Version 1.7: The "Part Alfa" capability is added.
This allows you to look for files that fall within
an alphabetical RANGE, such as all files that
begin with from D to M, for example. This was
added at the suggestion of Shel Talmy, who
tells me this has only been possible with directory
programs written for UNIX. Well, DOS, here we are!
Actually, we went a little further, and you can
also look for an alphabetical range on the SECOND
letter with a common first letter, such as from
CH to CO, for instance. See Section C;a in DF.DOC.
For a complete listing of the additions and changes for previous versions,
as well as a detailed description of all syntax possibilities, please see
DF.DOC. Also, please don't forget the fairness of registering if you are
using DF. Thanks. I NEED your encouragement!
